Oana Dinculescu

Ever since I was a child I've been fascinated by makeup. I could not imagine a more glamorous and grown-up activity. As I grew, my fascination turned into a passion and later on my passion turned into a career.

Why makeup? Because I identify with it and it represents me. The world of makeup gives me freedom, has no rules, no boundaries. Make-up is not a mask. Make-up is art, passion and expression.

Following my dream to become a professional make-up artist I ended up in New York City, the makeup capital of the world. The Big Apple gave me the chance to take my skills to the next level. I studied makeup at Chic Studios NYC, where I got certified as a professional make-up artist and worked with talented photographers, designers, and models.

I get inspired by everything that surrounds me: people, fashion magazines (old and new), clothing, art, colors, nature, food and everything that I encounter in my daily life. Because things are always changing in the beauty industry I’m always open to new, aware and looking for ways to improve. My goal and satisfaction comes from reaching out to my clients and making a difference in their lives through makeup.

After traveling the World, doing makeup and meeting inspiring people, I decided to settle in Bucharest, Romania where I established myself as a professional make-up artist. Ever since I took this decision, things have moved very quick, and very soon I was called to work on editorial shoots for magazines like VIVA!, Unica, Marie Claire, Avantaje, Look etc. , and for cosmetics companies like MAC cosmetics, Estée Lauder, Alix Avien.

In January 2012, I became The Official Make-up Artist for Oriflame Romania. It all started out as a curiosity to see how far I can make it in this competition ,since there were more than 300 applicants for this job. Soon I was announced to be one of the 10 finalists, and after a practical make-up test in front of a jury comprised of Jonas Wramell, Oriflame’s Global Director, Oriflame Romania Directors and Managers, and beauty journalists; I was selected as the Official Make-up Artist Oriflame Romania. That experience proved me once again that “the only limit is the one you set yourself!"

My collaboration with Oriflame ended up in 2015 when I decided to explore another amazing experience, and in my opinion the most important by far, being a full-time MOM! For the past 2 years I dedicated myself completely to my two adorable kids David and Alexandra!

But now I’m back to my passion, and ready to turn on the lights again!

The only limit is the one your set yourself!
